Kenji Henderson’s “Stadium” Night Club Promotion
Posted in Uncategorized on June 26, 2008 by malikwilliamsMy cousin Kenji Henderson put on a good opening night at the Stadium Sports Bar and Grill in South Boston. R&B artist Jay-El, Louie & Lisa Bello put on an amazing show for the crowd. Paying homage to cousin Bobby Brown, Lisa and I did our rendition of “Every Little Step” in rare duet form.

Alyssa Rae Hanley did a great job singng the leads and little Alyssa Williams helped out with the backgrounds.
We managed to get them recorded in a couple of sessions.
It was little Alyssa’s first professional studio session… only a few months before her 3rd birthday!!
You can just imagine what’s coming next. You can check it out on my Music Samples page.

Doorman (2008)
Posted in Composer, Film / TV, Production, Publishing, Songwriting, Uncategorized on April 17, 2008 by malikwilliamsSome of my music was licensed for an upcoming film called “Doorman”. (Not sure of the release date.. it should be soon tough.) The music I composed for this film was a very interesting blend of 80’s and 90’s hip-hop. The various styles ranged from De LA Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, and the Jungle Brothers to Roger Troutman/ Zapp, Ohio Players and Parliament-Funkadelic. I mean all these styles mixed into a single composition. It was a very interesting request.. or should I say challenge to fulfill.
Directed by Stephen Leeds. With Gary Dourdan, Jackie Long, Zulay Henao.
